Mixed Clay Cups and Pots

2 hour Hand-building class
Unwind and get creative in this 2 hour class, where you'll learn to handbuild cups and pots with Japanese nerikomi inspired patterns.
Using a combination of blue and white stoneware, you'll explore the soothing process of building with your hands, mixing and layering the coloured clay to create intricate patterns. You will be guided every step of the way, learning how to connect these pieces together using slab-building techniques.
While nerikomi patterns are typically very delicate and precise, Phoebe’s classes have an emphasis on letting go of control, having an open mind towards your creation becoming something different than you may have planned at the start. You will be encouraged to experiment and allow the meditative act of playing with clay to take you on your own journey, unafraid to get messy, creating something truly unique.
