Kirsty McNeil

Kirsty McNeil is an artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, originally from Kirikiriroa Hamilton. Her work spans sculpture and installation, with a research-based practice that explores everyday encounters within urban spaces.

Kirsty’s work reflects on the uniqueness of place, shaped by human and nonhuman interrelations, and she often incorporates walking to inform her research. Kirsty’s practice embraces experimentation with diverse materials, including construction techniques, ceramics, and casting processes.

A graduate of Elam School of Fine Arts, Kirsty McNeil is currently completing her Doctorate at Elam, where she has taught undergraduate sculpture papers.
